5 Tips On Money from the BIBLE…

Today I just wanted to post 5 Biblical Financial Tips that we could all use to help us get to our PINNACLE point in life. These steps may seem like common sense but many of us are not following these rules and it is exactly why we have the problems that we have. We can all get physically and financially fit. Here are 5 steps to get FINANCIALLY fit…

1. Get Out of DEBT.

  • Godliness with contentment is great gain.
  • “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave of the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7)

2. Act Your WAGE.

  • Learn to live on less than you make.
  • “A foolish man devours all he has.” (Proverbs 21:20)

3. Get On A BUDGET.

  • Those who manage well get to do more.
  • “For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost to see whether he has enough to finish it?” (Luke 14:20)

4. SAVE and INVEST.

  • There are 3 basic things we should save for:
  1. Emergency Fund (Rainy Day): 3-6 Months of expenses.
  2. Large Purchases. Use cash to pay for things.
  3. Wealth Building
  • “In the house of the wise are stores of choice, food, and oil.” (Proverbs 21:20)

5. GIVE!!!

The fifth and final step is my favorite…..GIVING.

  • “Bring all tithes into the store house that there may be food in MY house.” (Malachi 3:10)

This plan DOES NOT work unless you do them all. You can not give if you haven’t saved. You can not live on less than you make and save if you are in debt. So if you follow this plan, DO ALL OF THE ABOVE STEPS. It may be hard but will be rewarded tremendously in the end.

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but it yields a harvest of righteousness.”
